We will depart from the Lakeside Commons parking lot at 6:00 am in the morning and travel to Frankenmuth, MI. We will stop for lunch on your own along the way.

Willkommen Frankenmuth! Michigan’s Little Bavaria. We will check into the Bavarian Inn Lodge where we will stay for the next 3 nights. This evening the festivities begin with a delightful evening of live music and delicious cuisine in beautiful surroundings.

The menu tonight will be:

Jager Schnitzel - Meaty center cut pork loin chop topped with special Bavarian mushroom sauce, served with potato cheese dumplings, Tossed salad with house dressing, Vegetable du jour, Breadsticks, and Chef's choice of Dessert, Coffee, Tea, Milk and Soda.

A variety of music will accompany your meal, highlighted with the singing of the famous German " Schnitzelbank Song." After dinner you can retire to your room or end your night with live music at the Lorelei Lounge, while they probably won’t be playing Christmas music - you may be able to request your favorite holiday tune.

We will start our day with a German breakfast buffet at the hotel, followed by a guided exploration of Frankenmuth’s streets and stories. Learn about its rich German heritage and picturesque architecture that make this town a true gem.

Add a little Christmas history with a stop at St.Lorenz Church, founded in 1845 and dedicated on Christmas Day 1846. This historical site features one-of-a-kind stained glass windows, a replica log cabin, and the original bells that were brought by the settlers.


Roll up your sleeves and create your own authentic German pretzel—a hands-on experience that’s as fun as it is tasty!


Explore over 30 unique boutiques and shops—perfect for early Christmas gifts or delightful souvenirs.

Step into the world’s largest Christmas store! From sparkling ornaments to festive décor, every corner is a holiday wonderland.


Silent Night Memorial Chapel
Reflect on this beautiful tribute to the world-famous carol within this quaint and peaceful chapel.

Savor the flavors of local wines in a guided tasting session—a toast to another magical day in Frankenmuth!


Dinner at Bavarian Inn Restaurant & Christmas Lane
End the day wandering along the charming Christmas Lane, complete with twinkling lights, festive décor, and the joyful spirit of the season in July!

Today we will tour the Woolen Mill and learn about the centuries -old traditions of wool processing then we get to create our own cozy keepsake, a Dryer Ball!


This afternoon you have free to explore, shop, and eat on your own. You might hunt for gnomes or complete a Bierpass, dine at Zhenders, ride the Bavarian Belle on the Cass River, or visit the Frankenmuth Historical Museum. Your choice!

Farewell Frankenmuth - on our journey home we will stop for an included lunch.
